Writer’s Journal – The Marathon Edit

Fret not, Best Boi is coming soon to a YouTube channel near you.

So the unfortunate reality is that I just didn’t get a lot done today. I’m not going to get into the details too much. But I had to go in for a particularly soul-sucking day at work and, when I got home, finding the motivation to do literally anything was… a challenge. In any case, I did make some significant progress on some stuff, so let’s talk about that for a bit.

Galvanic

There weren’t any movements made with any posts to the main site. Not from me, anyway. A just threw up a new post from Bob a little before getting to work on this one. So check that out if you’re into Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Otherwise, though, nah. Nothing to report. Some vague ideas floating around about what my post over the weekend can be. I’d hoped to make it something about Deca-Dence but… well…

Voyager

No real movements here either. I’m still holding onto a few announcements. We’ve got things concerning the business plan for our web novels, details about how we plan to handle physical releases, etc. So stick with me and I’ll get you up to speed real soon.

Anime

Yeah, I couldn’t watch anything today. But the reason you’ll see in a moment.

Bulletoon

So when I got home from the nearly full day I had to make a decision. The new episode was going to take a while to edit and that’d mean not much else was going to get done. I’d wanted to just hurry up and finish it tonight. But given how much energy I didn’t have and, worse, how much motivation I didn’t have, I knew that wasn’t going to happen. I managed to soldier on through most of the edit, getting it about 90% of the way there. I just have a few clips and images to throw in. Basically all the standard visual aid stuff you come to expect. Honestly, a part of my is nervous about the episode. Last time I did a manga-centric one, it got hit with a (false) copyright strike and, because I’m a small fish, it just wasn’t worth it trying to combat said strike. If it happens again… I have no idea what I’m gonna do. We’ll see, I guess. In any case, the episode should be up on Friday morning, at the latest. If something happens… well… I’ll deal with it then. In the meantime, here’s a little taste of what to expect:

EXTRACURRICULAR

As you can probably guess, I haven’t touched this one today. And I’m not very likely to. As I’ve mentioned, the priority on it is low. It is, after all, a passion project. I’m not really planning on making anything huge of it (yet). So it was one of the first things taking that hit when I had to decide on editing the (already heavily delayed) video.

Burning Sky: Dawnbringer

While I haven’t done much, I made some minor tweaks to the “Episode” I’d just finished of this and now I feel more comfortable with leaving it off where it is. People should be really interested by how it ends. That said, I have some time so I may still go on and try starting up the next part. Depends on my mood, I guess.

Burning Sky: Senshi

Similarly, I haven’t touched this today. But this one I didn’t even do any tweaking on. No need. The segment pretty much ends exactly how I wanted it to and anything more I want to change, I can do after our team meeting on Friday, after the guys have had a chance to tell me what they think.

That’s is. Not as much for this post today but, as I said, I didn’t do a whole lot. Or, rather, I did, but it was mostly concentrated on one specific project.
